Oakland University Student Program Board is Committed to Providing Quality Events

Meadowbrook Hall taken by Rondo String Quartet

When planning an elegant event, one has to look no further then Meadowbrook Hall. A National Historic Landmark, Meadow Brook is the historic home built by one of the automotive aristocracy’s most remarkable women, Matilda Dodge Wilson. Constructed between 1926 and 1929 for $4 million, Meadow Brook represents one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival architecture in America. Matilda Dodge Wilson also donated the land to the state of Michigan for the creation of Oakland University. So it was convenient for the Oakland University Student Program Board to utilize Meadowbrook Hall for it's first annual dinner. Josh Robinson, director of special events did an amazing job planning this elegant evening. Members of the Oakland University community were charged a nominal fee for a catered dinner in the Hall's grand ballroom. We had the pleasure of playing for the event and the opportunity to take requests from guests as the evening elapsed. We hope this is the start of a tradition for the organization which clearly knows how to provide high quality and diverse programs, activities and events for the Oakland University community.
