The Rondo String Quartet was honored to play for the Michigan School of Psychology's commencement ceremony once again. We have played for this event for several years. We were so pleased to come back this year after missing a couple of years during COVID.
Our favorite part of the evening includes a river rock ritual where the graduates show their passions, interests, goals, and aspirations. It is amazing to hear the individuality of each student showing how they hope to transform the world. Another highlight of the night is always the scholarship awards, revealing how each of the students awarded a scholarship have demonstrated their active participation in the community, academics, clinical work, and research. And of course, we love the excited looks on the graduates faces throughout the evening!
Founded in 1980 in the city of Detroit, the school moved to its present location in Farmington Hills in 2003. The school offers a Master of Arts (MA) and Specialist in Psychology (PsyS) degree in Humanistic and Clinical Psychology as well as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) degree and a Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. After playing for MSP's graduation ceremony for so many years and seeing their professionalism and wealth of educational opportunities, it was natural for one of the Rondo String Quartets members daughters to have MSP on top of her list of schools as she looked to further her education. We are so proud that she will begin her education at MSP in the fall.
