Korean Paebaek ceremony set up Tea ceremony at a wedding at Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester, MI. Music by Rondo String Quartet.

Meadow Brook Hall is synonymous with tradition and elegance. It was the perfect setting for Kat and Jon to join their lives, traditions and cultures among family and friends. The day started with a traditional American ceremony in the Rock Garden officiated by Kat's Aunt Stina Cowan, who spoke beautifully about the couples love for each other.

The couple then invited guests to join them in the Pegasus Garden for the Paebaek Ceremony. Rich with tradition from Korea, the Paeback is a Korean Tea Ceremony. In Korean tradition, marriage represents joining of not just two individuals but two families. The Paeback Ceremony was originally a means of formally introducing the bride to the groom's family. In modern times, both the bride's and groom's families are invited to participate and offer their blessings to the couple. While traditionally a private affair, the modern Paebaek is now often shared with all the guests and is an interactive, immersive experience complete with applause, laugher and cheer!

Kristie from Haley Makay Events and Morgan Pierce, Meadow Brooks Event Coordinator, worked seamlessly together to keep the many elements of the day running smoothly. Kelly Sweet Photography was doing a fabulous job with the many opportunities for photography and Any Lybolt from MI Honeybee Blooms did a beautiful job with the floral arrangements.

Congratulations and best wishes to Kat and Jon. Two beautiful hearts joining together, and binding with a beautiful promise. Wishing you a lifetime of togetherness
