Some wedding venues are unforgettable, and The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn is certainly one of them. We were honored to provide the music for this beautiful celebration, beginning with a heartfelt ceremony in the stunning Pennsylvania Courtyard and continuing through cocktail hour inside the museum.
Lauren and Benjamin described their relationship with one simple sentence that perfectly captured their journey together, "Long distance made every day an adventure."
That spirit of adventure was reflected throughout the entire day—from meaningful ceremony traditions to thoughtful personal touches that made the wedding uniquely theirs.
The Pennsylvania Courtyard was breathtaking. One detail we especially loved was the ceremony layout. Instead of the traditional setup, the couple faced the beautiful entrance doors of the courtyard, creating a dramatic and elegant backdrop as family and friends watched them exchange vows. It was a simple change that made an incredible visual impact.
White floral arrangements, one of this year's most popular wedding trends, added timeless elegance to the historic setting. The bridesmaids stood out beautifully in coordinating patterned dresses, bringing personality and charm while perfectly complementing the classic white flowers. Halley Mackensie from The Beautiful Bloom did an amazing job incorporating orchids into the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere for a meaningful touch.
Music helped tell the story of the ceremony from beginning to end. Guests were welcomed by the warm sound of live strings as we performed selections including:
10,000 Reasons
Can't Help Falling in Love
Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)
I Get to Love You
You Raise Me Up
All You Need Is Love
One of the memorable moments came at the conclusion of the ceremony when the couple incorporated the traditional breaking of the glass, celebrating their marriage with cheers and joyful applause from family and friends.
After the ceremony, guests explored the incredible surroundings of The Henry Ford while enjoying cocktail hour. It was the perfect opportunity to blend contemporary favorites with timeless classics. Our cocktail hour playlist included:
Best Part
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Enchanted
Mr. Brightside
It's always fun watching guests recognize their favorite songs reimagined for string quartet, and these selections brought plenty of smiles throughout the museum.
As cocktail hour concluded, Bluewater Kings Band took over for the reception, keeping the celebration going well into the evening with an energetic soundtrack.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you for allowing Rondo String Quartet to be part of such a meaningful day. We wish you a lifetime filled with love, adventure, and many more beautiful memories together.
