DIA staff prepares for 300+ guests

Since its founding in 1865, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers has actively fought to improve our members’ quality of life – on and off the job – through access to fair wages, good benefits, safe working conditions, and solidarity among members.

Today, they represent the most highly skilled trowel trades craftworkers across the United States and Canada including bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tilesetters, terrazzo and mosaic workers, and pointers/ cleaners/ caulkers. With over a century of protecting the rights of their workers, BAC is the oldest continuous union in North America.

The BAC 2025 Convention kicked off in Detroit this year! We had the pleasure of playing for over 300 members as they enjoyed dinner in the Grand Hall at the Detroit Institute of Art. What a blast! The crowed enthusiastically showed their appreciation for all our classic rock hits and we were pleased to be able to satisfy so many of the requests. We played for three hours and had a faithful group that stayed with us until the last note. Many thanks to BAC Event Organizer, Kim, for inviting us and the DIA staff for all their help.
