In Marriage, The Little Things Are the Big Things

When the original St. Clair Inn opened in 1926 it was a destination for the city's wealthy residents, celebrities and sometimes, secret parties at the height of Prohibition. As we looked across the river to the quite close Canadian side, we could see why!

After a total renovation in 2019, the Inn now offers 85 guest rooms and three private cottages all with stunning views of the St. Clair river, modern comforts with the elegance of the past. SWe were awed by the beautiful grounds and history of the Inn.

Emily and Matt were married on the Riverside Lawn, a unique space overlooking the river. Samantha McNally of Wholehearted Events and Samantha Joy of St. Clair Inn worked together to create "dream come true" wedding day for the couple. Matthew Garland officiated and the ceremony included the reading "The Art Marriage." Katie Rogers of KE Photography memorialized the beautiful moments while Tyler Mulville of Tyler James Motion Pictures captured it on video. Love Story Events produced the flowers that graced the ceremony arbor. It was a sunny and breezy day on the edge of the St. Clair river. Perfect for these two love birds to tie the knot. Congratulations Mark and Emily!
