Crafting a Timeless Reception Playlist

We had the pleasure of playing for Kristina and Matt's wedding reception at Petruzello's in Troy Michigan. We were scheduled to play for 3 1/2 hours so with the couples input, we created a playlist that covered all genres in an effort to appeal to the different generations in attendance for their special day. Fortunately for us, we have a playlist with over 800 titles so had a wonderful resource from which to draw.

The couple had two specific requests. They wanted "I'm a Believer" for their entrance song and "Celebration," a favorite song for the bride's Mom. Around those songs, we built an impressive collection of songs including Beatles, Christian, Current Covers, Disney, Nostalgic Big Band hits, Irish selections, Polkas and Musicals.

We received excellent feedback from the guests and several sang along and took videos. Thank you to this couple and their families for inviting us to stay for the lovely meal. We rarely enjoy such hospitality. Here’s to love, laughter, and happily ever after. Congratulations to the happy couple!
