A few sprinkles and a lot of "good luck"!

Updated: Aug 20, 2022

Wedding flowers by floral design by Lori at Meadowbrook Hall. Music by Rondo String Quartet.

Jake and Carolyn were married in the Pegasus Garden at Meadow Brook Hall. The garden was in a beautiful state of blooming. Carolyn's brother, Michael Ayaub, officiated and directed a funny and touching ceremony. Morgan, the wedding coordinator at MBH, is someone we've worked with before and have found her to be organized and top of it all. Her quick response was a blessing as it began to rain lightly towards the end of the wedding. Morgan was out with umbrellas for the guests very quickly. Tradition says that rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a wet knot is extremely hard to untie. Therefore, when you "tie the knot" on a rainy day, your marriage is just as hard to unravel.

Many of our favorite vendors were on hand to make this couple's day a huge success. Floral Designs by Lori created the lovely alter area seen in the picture. Lovell Photography and Afterglow Film captured the memories, Mike Staff and Sweet Heather Anne shared their talents during the dinner reception. Congratulations to Carolyn and Jake!
