A wedding is a celebration of love and commitment and when combined with the traditions of ancient cultures becomes a deeply rich event full symbolism, timeless hopes and dreams. Nakisa and Ryan joined their lives in a ceremony reflective of their Persian and Jewish cultures. The exemplary staff of Planterra Conservatory created a luscious backdrop for the event while officiant Nichole Bertucci supported the couples' union with a descriptive narrative of the Persion wedding tradition, Sofreh Adhd, its symbols and their representation. The table was adorned with spices, candles, honey, coins, fruit and nuts - each representative of the qualities Nakisa and Ryan hope to share in their new life together. The music, all chosen by the couple, demonstrated their contemporary side with music of John Legend, Coldplay and Journey. The ceremony took place under the Jewish chuppah, or wedding canopy and concluded with the Jewish tradition of the Breaking of the Glass. Best wishes to this lovely couple!
