"I cannot say enough amazing things about this group of incredible musicians. Lisa was easy to work with, professional, and a great communicator - truly every bride's dream! We hired the quartet to play our ceremony and cocktail hour and it was the everything we could have imagined and more. The music was beautiful and it really set the stage for an elegant evening for all of our guests. The group has such a robust repertoire list, but each song is just as lovely as the next. You can't go wrong with any of their selections. Our guests complimented the music all evening, saying that our wedding gave off "Bridgerton" vibes in the very best way! Thank you, Rondo String Quartet! You are simply the best."

"Perfect! These ladies are amazingly talented. Provided a wonderful range of music from classic wedding music to the Beatles and The Grateful Dead. Highly professional. So easy to work with. I could not have asked for more. I would definitely recommend them!"

-Mary, review from The Bash

"I could not say enough about how amazing these ladies are. They made my ceremony more memorable by accommodating any music requests I had, and they never missed a beat. They are the ONLY quartet I would recommend to anyone looking to hire. THANK YOU!!!!!!!"

-Janelle, review from The Knot

"We were looking for a group who played fun current music as well as classic rock. We also wanted to feel comfortable that the group was established, professional, and knew what they were doing. Rondo checked every box and so much more! Thank-you, Rondo, for your help in the process, for your kindness, for your talent, and most of all - for making our wedding day perfect!"

“What’s in a name?”

Rondo%20at%20Detroit%20Yacht%20Club_edit

We are often asked why our name is Rondo String Quartet.  A Rondo is a musical form with a refrain or main theme that keeps returning.  We thought the name was fitting as we all go out into our lives, but always return to play music together.

Kashmir, Led Zeppelin

Second violinist Lisa Saluk graduated from The University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance and Music Education, and a Master’s Degree in Music Education.  She began her teaching career in Wisconsin, returned home to Michigan to continue teaching strings and general music in the Rochester Community Schools, and currently works with special education students in the Oxford Community Schools. Lisa maintains a private studio of violin students, and has played with various other groups.  She is married with two children.  Lisa, along with her sister and cellist Kim, are founding members of the quartet.  Lisa enjoys the camaraderie of playing with her string quartet family.

Violist Jessica Zelinski is a graduate of Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance and a teaching certificate.  While she no longer teaches full time, she maintains a full studio of private piano students.  An active performer, she also plays with the Midland Symphony, the Macomb Symphony Orchestra, and subs with various other symphonies in the Detroit area. Jessica is also one of the music ministers at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe where she plays for Sunday masses and directs the Voices of Joy Choir.

Cellist Kim Borgert graduated from Michigan State University in Music Education as a Strings Specialist. During college, she studied with the Julliard String Quartet.  Kim started playing cello at age 12 and attended Blue Lake and Interlochen music camps.  She won the Livonia Youth Symphony Concerto Competition and also played in the Michigan Youth Symphony.  After college, she was principal cellist of the Southfield Symphony and the Livonia Symphony.  She currently maintains a private studio and performs with various other groups.  Kim, along with the groups 2nd violinist, are sisters.  They grew up with a classically trained pianist mother and a gig band pianist/saxophonist/trumpeter father.  Kim enjoys the flexibility of music styles that Rondo String Quartet is able to play.
